To mark 25 years of the 65 series, Yonex has created the 65 Z4 25th Anniversary Design: a limited-edition, unisex version of the 12th-generation 65, finished in metallic gold and covered in the words champions said in the moment they won.

Underneath is the full 65 Z4 – soft, barefoot-like fit and flexibility, with the foot and shoe moving as one even when you bend, so your footwork stays quick, precise and stress-free.

The Words of Champions

The gold upper is covered in the voices of 16 players who won the Olympic Games, the World Championships or the All England while wearing the 65 – in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Thai. Among them:

• Metallic gold upper – brushed-effect gold toe and side panels covered in white typography of the champions' words, including "Words of Champions" and "Nation's First World Champion".

• Power Cushion+ – shock absorption and quick energy transfer. In Yonex testing, a raw egg dropped from 12 metres onto Power Cushion+ rebounds to around 6 metres without breaking. Landing impact is turned into forward momentum for faster footwork and less stress on the joints.
• Integrated Inner Bootie (new on the 65 Z4) – the interior lining and tongue are one piece, so there are no bumps from toe to midfoot. The foot and shoe are integrated for a comfortable, locked-in fit, even in strenuous movements.
• Ergonomic Shaped Outsole (enhanced) – the rise of the outsole rubber has been lowered under the forefoot, so the shoe bends with your foot. Better integration means more dash power and quicker footwork.
• Power Graphite Lite – Power Carbon Lite (Power Carbon combined with rigid EVA) in the shank for stability without extra weight. It prevents foot twisting, improves landing stability and supports accurate footwork.
• Seamless upper construction – a snug, secure fit with better energy transfer and less internal foot movement.
• Synchro-Fit insole – improves foot alignment and overall fit, reducing energy loss and improving responsiveness.
• Lateral Shell – minimises power loss and sharpens lateral response for side movements and controlled stops.
