Wristbands & Headbands
A sweatband is one of the simplest ways to keep sweat off your hands, grip and eyes during long rallies. Our range covers terry wristbands, sports headbands and tie headbands from Yonex, Nike, Babolat, Adidas and Wilson, used by tennis, badminton, squash and padel players. Choose a tennis wristband to stop sweat running down to your racket handle, or a sports headband such as the Yonex AC259, Nike Swoosh or Adidas Tennis Headband to keep your vision clear.

When choosing, think about width (jumbo or doublewide wristbands absorb more sweat), material (thick terry towelling for absorbency, thinner stretch fabrics for comfort), and fit (a headband should stay put without pinching, and tie headbands let you adjust the tension). Wash them regularly so they stay absorbent. Our sweatbands, headbands and visors guide compares the options, and you can find caps and visors in our headwear range. Sweatband FAQs
What is the point of a sweatband?
A sweatband absorbs sweat before it reaches places where it causes problems. Wristbands stop sweat running down your arm onto the racket grip, which helps you keep control. Headbands stop sweat dripping into your eyes. Players also use wristbands to wipe their face between points without reaching for a towel.
Which wrist should you wear a tennis wristband on?
Most players wear a tennis wristband on their hitting arm, because that is where sweat would run down onto the grip. Some wear one on each wrist, using the non-hitting side to wipe their face. There is no rule, so wear them wherever they help you stay dry and comfortable.
Are sports headbands good for sweat?
Yes. A towelling or moisture-wicking sports headband absorbs sweat from your forehead and keeps it out of your eyes, which is especially useful in warm halls or summer matches. It also keeps hair off your face. Thicker terry headbands absorb more, while thinner stretch bands are lighter and less noticeable.
How do you wash sweatbands?
Most sweatbands can be machine washed with similar colours at a low to medium temperature. Avoid fabric softener, which can reduce absorbency. Air drying helps the elastic last longer. Washing after each heavy session keeps them fresh and absorbent. Always check the care label on the specific product.
