Central Sports Named Official Shuttle Partner of Badminton England

We're proud to announce that Central Sports has been named the Official Shuttle Partner of Badminton England, bringing RSL's tournament-grade shuttlecocks to players across the country — from junior tournaments to the senior national stage.

It's a partnership with real history behind it. RSL's shuttles were the official shuttle of the All England Championships from 1947 to 1983, and nearly 80 years on, RSL and Badminton England are working together again.

What Shuttle Will Be Used at Each Badminton England Tournament?

As part of the partnership, from the 1st of September 2026, RSL shuttles are now the standard across Badminton England's tournament structure. Below shows the minimum shuttle requirement by tournament and grade and the shuttle to train with ahead of your next event.

The shuttles listed are minimum requirements for these tournaments, so we recommend checking with the tournament organiser to confirm the exact shuttle in use on the day.

The Deep Dive Into Badminton England’s Tournament Shuttle Line-Up

Three RSL shuttles now form the backbone of Badminton England's tournament requirements, each built for a different level of play:

1. RSL Classic Tourney

The elite, BWF International Grade shuttle used at Masters, Senior, and National tournament level, plus the U18 ICT, SCC and MCC team events.

These shuttles are made from premium-selected goose feathers, tested twice for speed and flight, with a zero-tolerance policy on feather defects. This shuttle carries RSL's tournament pedigree and the same standard used in major international events for the past 75 years.

The RSL Classic Tourney shuttle is available in Speeds 77 and 78 and is certified by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) for use in its international tournaments too.

2. RSL Tourney No.3

Europe's best-selling league shuttle, and the shuttle required at Badminton England’s Gold-level U15 and Silver/Bronze-level U19 and U17 tournaments. It strikes the balance competitive club and county players need, with consistent flight and durability at a more accessible price point than the full tournament grade.

This shuttle is available in Speeds 77 and 78.

3. RSL Classic Academy

Built for skill development, and the shuttle used across Badminton England’s U11 and U13 tournaments, plus Silver and Bronze grade U15. Made with 100% goose feathers for genuine flight and durability, but priced for the volume that club and junior training demands.

This shuttle is available in Speeds 77 and 78.
