For 25 years the Yonex Power Cushion 65 has been the shoe champions win in. To mark the anniversary, Yonex has created the Power Cushion 65 Z4 25th Anniversary Design: a limited, unisex edition of the 12th-generation 65, finished in metallic gold and covered in the words players said in the moment they won.
It's now available to pre-order at Central Sports, launching 20th November 2026.
The Words of Champions
The gold upper carries the voices of 16 players who won the Olympic Games, the World Championships or the YONEX All England Open wearing the 65, written in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Thai. Among them:

They're joined by Huang Dong Ping, Tan Ning, Wang Yi Lyu, Seo Seung Jae, Kim Won Ho, Dechapol Puavaranukroh, Toh Ee Wei, Yuki Fukushima, Nami Matsuyama and Arisa Igarashi. Every line on the shoe is a real moment from a real final.
The design
- Metallic gold upper: brushed-effect gold toe and side panels covered in white typography of the champions' words.
- Navy Yonex logo on the inside and outside of the shoe, with Yonex branding on the tongue and insole.
- Anniversary heel counter: a gold heel with "Words of Champions" script and "65" branding.
- White laces, tongue and collar for a clean contrast against the gold.
- Gum rubber outsole: the classic honey-gum court sole with a white midsole.
Underneath: the full 65 Z4
This isn't a display piece. Under the gold is the complete 65 Z4, the same shoe we sell for club and competition play:
