Yonex VCORE α SL 08 2026 Tennis Racket Strung 245g - Ruby Red

The Yonex VCORE α SL 08 is a strung tennis racket built to make tennis easier, more forgiving and more enjoyable for developing players. At 250 g it is the lightest racket in the VCORE line and the easiest to handle in the whole family – suited to beginners, younger juniors and recreational players who want a fast, confidence-boosting frame that never feels heavy.

Key Features

• Sweet spot – the 08 VCORE generation has the largest upper-hoop sweet spot Yonex has engineered, giving fewer mis-hits, easier lift and depth, a more stable, forgiving feel and better consistency even with imperfect technique.
• Snapback – Yonex’s horizontal snapback grommet system lets the strings move more freely and snap back with more energy, for easier topspin from slower swings, more shape and control on rally balls and a trajectory that dips safely inside the court.
• Speed – the lightest swing in the VCORE family, for quicker setup timing, easier racket acceleration, easy control at the net and reduced arm fatigue.
• Stability – Servo Filter, VDM and carbon mapping reduce vibration and add stability, for softer feedback and less shock on off-centre hits.
• 100 sq in head – a generous sweet spot with aerodynamic construction and Yonex’s 4S Spin System.
• Supplied strung – ready to play.

Performance Overview

The α SL helps players create spin, smooth contact and controlled depth from the first swing, even with compact, slower strokes – spin made accessible, with no need for big muscles or advanced technique. Even at such a low weight it does not feel unstable or flimsy; the frame is designed to help you succeed rather than punish mistakes, and to protect your arm while supporting your progression.

If the VCORE α L is about easy progression, the α SL is about easy learning: the smoothest, most comfortable stepping stone into modern spin rackets. No VCORE is faster or easier to swing.
