The Yonex SubAxia GT 2026 Women’s badminton shoes introduce Yonex’s newest elite footwear series, launched alongside the Aerus, Eclipsion and Power Cushion 65 ranges. The SubAxia GT is the first Yonex badminton shoe to feature GRPHT THRTTL technology, engineered for high-level competitive play, and comes here in Light Grey.
Key Features
- GRPHT THRTTL structure – Yonex’s flagship midsole combining Power Cushion REV with Power Graphite: a 37% improvement in impact absorption and a 42% increase in repulsion (compared with the Hyper msLite midsole, tested by Yonex). It stores and releases energy for faster take-offs and more explosive jump smashes.
- 3D Heel Cushioning – reduces landing shock on jumps and net approaches for smoother landings and quicker recovery.
- Split midsole with optimised hardness – more repulsion and firmness in the forefoot for explosive push-offs, more cushioning and stability in the heel for impact protection.
- Optimal Weight Transfer outsole – shaped to follow natural weight-transfer paths in multi-directional footwork, for faster first steps and smoother transitions at the front of the court.
- Women’s performance fit – shaped to suit female biomechanics, with secure heel containment, balanced cushioning and forefoot support without unnecessary bulk.
Performance Overview
Built around the philosophy “The Only Way Is Up”, the SubAxia GT is designed to convert impact into propulsion. Unlike shoes that focus purely on comfort, it turns landing impact into upward and forward drive, helping you jump higher, recover faster and keep attacking pressure – from jump smashes to rapid net interceptions. Developed using biomechanical testing and motion analysis, it gives powerful rebound while keeping the cushioning controlled, so you get speed without losing stability during lunges, take-offs and quick direction changes.
It marks a shift in Yonex badminton footwear, where cushioning becomes a performance tool, not just protection.
Who Is It For?
- Competitive and advanced female badminton players
- Players who rely on explosive jumps and fast direction changes
- Athletes seeking maximum energy return with controlled cushioning
- Players who want elite-level performance rather than comfort-only footwear
