The Yonex Carbon Cruise Aerus GT in Sky Blue is a carbon-plated running shoe built for speed sessions and race day. It's the successor to the Carbon Cruise Aerus and is built around Yonex's new Graphite Throttle (GT) construction.
Graphite Throttle (GT) Technology
GT pairs Yonex's newest midsole cushioning with a speed-focused carbon plate to balance cushioning, responsiveness, low weight, propulsion and stability.
- Power Cushion REV: the upper midsole layer. Yonex reports around 14% more shock absorption, 16% more rebound and 27% less weight than Power Cushion+.
- 3D Power Carbon plate: stiffer and more speed-focused than the original Carbon Cruise Aerus plate. Raised wings at the forefoot and midfoot reduce side-to-side wobble on landing, while deeper ribs add stability and propulsion.
- Feather Light X: the lower midsole layer and Yonex's lightest material to date, around 30% lighter than standard EVA.
- Endurance Rubber outsole: a hard-wearing rubber also used in Yonex's pro tennis shoes, for grip and less energy loss.
- Durable Skin Light upper: a thin, strong, seamless upper for a light, flexible fit.
Ride
Expect a smooth, rolling ride with quick turnover rather than a big bouncy push. It's designed to help you lock into a steady rhythm at pace, without the harsh feel some carbon-plated shoes have.
