The Adidas Predator Club FT Turf is the turf shoe in the Predator control range. FT is the fold-over tongue that covers the lace line across the instep; the turf outsole underneath is built for artificial surfaces and astro rather than natural grass. This is the Black/Silver/Mint colourway, product code IH2114.
Key Features
- Turf outsole: Short, densely spaced studs across the whole footprint, giving grip on artificial surfaces without concentrating pressure the way moulded football studs do.
- Fold-over tongue: Covers the laces to give a flatter striking surface and stop laces working loose mid-session.
- Predator control upper: The line built around ball grip and contact.
- Club tier: The accessible tier of the Predator range, specified for regular use.
- Black/Silver/Mint colourway: Understated finish with a mint flash on the outsole.
Performance Overview
Turf shoes are the right tool for astro and older 3G, and for the small-sided midweek football that a lot of adults actually play. The many-short-studs pattern keeps the foot flat and the grip even, which matters on a surface with no give in it at all.
Because it is a Predator, the upper is not stripped back — there is material under the strike, which is the point of the line. With the fold-over tongue on top, the instep is about as clean a surface as a laced shoe offers.
Benefits
- Correct for astro and 3G: A genuine turf outsole, not a boot pressed into service.
- Comfortable over a session: Even pressure distribution on an unforgiving surface.
- Clean strike: Tongue covers the lace line.

Final Verdict
The midweek shoe. If your football happens on astro or 3G rather than grass, this is the outsole you want, and the Predator upper means you are not giving up ball feel to get it.
