A Japanese 40 Tonne Hi-Modulus carbon graphite frame keeps it stable on contact, and it arrives factory strung with Ashaway Zymax 68 TX, ready to play.

Key Features

Ultra-lightweight 5U frame: 79g total weight for rapid racket handling and quick repeat shots.

Even balance (approx. 295mm): Neutral weight distribution that favours manoeuvrability and control without losing shuttle acceleration.

Japanese 40T Hi-Modulus carbon graphite: High-grade graphite for stiffness, stability and a clean feel through the hitting zone.

Medium-flex shaft: Loads and releases energy easily, helping club players generate power from a shorter swing.

Factory strung with Ashaway Zymax 68 TX: Ashaway's own multifilament string in white — straight from the bag to the court.

White and sky-blue cosmetic: Clean white frame with sky-blue head and pink accents.

Performance Overview

The Luna Strike is a defence and speed racket first. The low 5U mass and even balance mean the head never lags behind the hand, so blocks, drives and counter-attacks off a heavy smash come back flat and fast. In doubles it rewards players holding the front and mid-court, where reaction time matters more than raw power.

Because the shaft is medium rather than stiff, clears and lifts to the back tramlines stay comfortable, so the racket does not punish players still building racket-head speed. Dedicated singles attackers may prefer a head-heavier frame for smash weight.

Benefits

Faster hands at the net: The lightweight build makes flat exchanges and net kills easier to win.

Less fatigue over long matches: 79g reduces arm and shoulder load across a league night or tournament day.

Forgiving for improving players: Medium flex helps produce length without perfect technique.

Ready to play: Pre-strung, with a discounted professional restring available if you want your own string and tension.

Technical Specifications

Specification

Details

Brand

Ashaway

Model

Luna Strike

Sport

Badminton

Weight

79g (5U)

Balance

Even — approx. 295mm

Shaft Flex

Medium

Frame Material

Japanese 40 Tonne Hi-Modulus Carbon Graphite

Factory String

Ashaway Zymax 68 TX (White)

Recommended Tension

26–28 lbs

Colour

White / Blue

Playing Style

Doubles, defence, fast flat exchanges

Player Level

Improver to Intermediate

Why Buy from Central Sports?

✅ 100% Genuine & Authorised Products

🏸 Trusted Racket Sports Specialist

📦 Secure Packaging & Fast Processing

🤝 Reliable Customer Support

🆕 Access to Latest Releases & Collections

Final Verdict

If your game is built on quick hands, tight defence and controlled flat play, the Ashaway Luna Strike is an easy recommendation.
