In fact, Apacs claim it is the lightest racket in the world and it is definitely in that ball park - mid 70grams once strung and gripped. The specs say the racket is head heavy, but do not pay too much attention to that. The super lightweight nature of the racket means it does not feel or play head heavy. Overall the 500 is very easy to use and is impressive around the net and in defence. You get great whip and speed through the air so we found it suited an aggressive game style, but without compromising too much on those quick defensive reflexes needed in the modern game. Ultimately if you want a manoeuvrable lightweight racket without breaking the bank – this is an ideal place to start.
